OpenAI Might Increase The Price of ChatGPT Pl
OpenAI is reportedly planning to raise the price of its...
The purpose is to become the brand AI recommends.
It all starts with having your pages indexed and displayed in Bing (more important than Google search right now, because ChatGPT and Perplexity use it) and Google search.
We present sufficient proof and show many other interesting things on the relation between getting ranked on Bing and Google versus getting recommended by AIs: learn for free from our GEO Academy by AISQ Growth.
For LLMs (large language models – another name for these new kinds of AIs used by billions of people around the world) to index you, you need to first be indexed via IndexNow and Google indexing API.
In the GEO Academy we provide many details, but for this article we will keep it short:
Layer 1: be indexed on search engines. LLMs no longer rely on training data when users search inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overview. They perform searches on Bing and Google.
Layer 2: enter the retrieval layer. Your usage of IndexNow and Google Indexing API via Squirrly SEO, ensure you get through layer 1. Then, to enter the retrieval layer, you need great SEO made with Focus Pages inside Squirrly SEO, to make sure you reach top 10 search results.
Layer 3: most people think AIs choose the first 3 results from search engines. That is 100% WRONG. Sometimes they choose positions 7 or 8. Other times, 9 or 10. They need to find FITNESS ( “is this fit enough for what the user wanted to find, according to the user’s specifics” ). Fitness is what AEO / GEO is all about, and why I teach the GEO Academy. If the first list of TOP 10 from search engines doesn’t produce enough “fit” results, then the search goes on for a different keyword and pulls a different set of pages, going back to Layer 2 retrieval. In Layer 3, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews need to find good things to recommend.
But the important thing to keep in mind is: without Layer 1, nothing else matters, because you can’t reach Layer 2 and Layer 3, without having your content indexed in the first place.
NOTE: search engines CAN (could / possible / maybe) index your content on their own. But using our method boosts the discoverability and the speed at which you’ll be indexed.
