OpenAI has introduced a new feature that is designed to help you automate work with scheduled tasks in ChatGPT.

Currently in beta for Plus, Pro, and Team plans users, “Tasks” lets users schedule reminders and automated actions that are executed by ChatGPT even when the user is offline. 

When a task is complete, users are sent push notifications or emails.

Setup Process:

• Access “Tasks” by toggling “4o with scheduled tasks” in the model picker (on the web version of ChatGPT)
• Users can create tasks like daily briefings, language practice, or project reminders.
• Tasks work with all versions of ChatGPT and send notifications via desktop, web, and mobile. However, the task manager can only be accessed on the web version of ChatGPT.

Usage Limitations: 

• Tasks in ChatGPT use GPT-4o. So, your plan’s usage limits will also apply to tasks. 
• ChatGPT has a limit on 10 active tasks at any time. 
• The following features and tools are not yet supported: Voice chats, File Uploads, GPTs.
